About Us

North Walsham Gymnastics Club was formed in 2001 by current Head Coach Alexis Thurston and Patricia Johnson (Treasurer & Welfare Officer).

 

The club is a community venture and has continued to grow over the years. In September 2017 fulfilled its long term ambition to acquire its own purpose built facilitiy. NWGC now hosts a wide range of classes and has over 500 gymnasts attending weekly.

 

Along with our large number of recreational gymnasts, NWGC is proud to boast that we have a Grade 1 Regional Beam, Bars, R&C Champion 2017, as well as All Around Level 6 County Champion (Age 8) 2017 and seven of our gymnasts qualified from competition results and trials for the Norfolk Squad 2018.

 

“NWGC  is a Company Limited by Guarantee  (registered in England,  Number 09626412) Registered Office 12 Lime Tree Road, North Walsham, NR28 9DY, and was incorporated on 5th June 2015. A company limited by guarantee is a not-for-profit organisation.  It is now taking on and over from the predecessor unincorporated club, and is the legal entity and basis of the club moving forward.”
